Now, of course, I don't have to do taxes. But for those of you who do, is it really as terrible as people say? It seems like if you just manage to stay a little organized, it shouldn't be all that bad. :p
So, was tax day a normal day for you, or some grueling experience?
My parents did my taxes for me this time, since I was away from home. I think they have someone do it for them, anyway.
I was certainly happy with it. I got a decent amount of money back from my taxes this year!
It was quite enjoyable to hand everything over to my mom and wait to get money. I should probably learn how to do my own taxes one day,
My Mom hires an accountant to do my parents', so he took care of mine as well. :p

All I got is junk mail and an expired coupon for 50 cents off one box of cheereios
My Mum works for the tax or something or other. It meant that went I got taxed when I was too young to be, my Mum got me my money back sooooooo easily. That's all I have to say on the topic of tax, I do not pay it. (yet).
I pay taxes on my scholarship-- everything that isn't tuition is taxed, basically. So that's several thousand dollars of income there.
Then I worked, and the school only took out state taxes, which was :screwy:
but it was still less than last year! yay
My taxes are pretty easy so no big deal. I use Turbotax to keep it simple. Copy some stuff from box x on this webpage into box x on this other webpage, then answer a few questions and I'm done.
Turbotax ftw!
But seriously, it makes it really easy when I am busy and deployed and such. But I still think I will go with Taxslayer next year instead. I can get more back with them. Or so I've heard.
It is nice being able to write off getting haircuts though. :D
I used Taxslayer one year, I think it was for 2005 and I was deployed that year, and I just didn't like it nearly as much as Turbotax.
My taxes are pretty easy. I just answer a few questions, put in a few values and I'm all done. It's great fun. =]
My mom is an accountant, so she did my taxes for me. It's not very useful, though, as I have about $100 of taxable income with deductions factored in. I will be getting nothing back.
