Seeing Vanille's personality, being a perky young girl with a child-like innocence, a very kind, caring demeanor, and a tendency to cry when feeling sad, to me, her design is great, although I think she would look better if she had blonde hair. What's your opinion?

Her hair color is like a dark strawberry blonde. I like it! And I would think that FFXII had enough blonde characters for people as it is.
I think pink is a pretty perky color myself.
I think it's interesting though that you associate innocence and sweetness with blonde colored hair. :greenie:
If she'd have had blond hair I really would've hated her.
I can't imagine Vanille with any other color blonde than the insanely bright whiteish/blonde.
I like her hair just the way it is.
Blonde would go terrible, brown might of been ok though.
