I wonder if it is racist to not want to live in an area that isn't mostly your own race? Depends on how you come across, mostly. Same with wanting to date within your own race. Is it racist to find some races more attractive than others? UCONN has official clubs for different races but would never condone racism. The issue isn't black and white. I imagine all of those things are technically racism, but then again, so is Affirmative Action, double standards on the n word and many other things. The question is, is wanting to live in an area where people are predominantly of your cultural identity the bad sort of racism, or is it the culturally accepted racism? I figure it's somewhere in between. Racism itself is becoming fairly useless as a word - like Nazi or comparing someone to Hitler. Countless misuse has robbed the word of its power.

Not long ago I was having a futile discussion with this racist douche at work - although, he claims that he is not a racist. According to him, he's not a "racist", he just doesn't feel "comfortable" standing next to one or more black people, as he has a fear of the "dark". :eep:

Again, how is that racist? He didn't say anything about how one race is inherently better than another. That's merely stupid or discriminatory but not racist.
