Aerith is an alcoholic.
So playing the PSP port of Tactics, I do the Cloud quest, and get up to the part where you gotta save him from ''ruffians''.
As they're assaulting Aerith, they call her the rum-duchess. (And then something about selling her box, yeeeah I certainly didn't catch that.)
I seem to remember a dialogue option in VII which allows you to call her the slum drunk.
What similar references or Easter eggs have you found in the FF series?
And don't a soul mention Cloud's sword in FFIX, everyone knows that one already.

FF IX has a ton of them.
In FF XII, Gilgamesh uses the most powerful weapons from various heroes throughout the series. Uh, also, Gilgamesh is in FF XII.
"Rum duchess" just means they think she's pretty, by the way.

Hm. Where does that expression come from?

It's just really old slang. I don't really know the origin. :P

LOL!!! That is funny! :hahaha:
Tifa is the one who worked in a bar though!

Aye aye, but she's not a drunk. My vote goes to Cid as far as that's concerned.
