In War of the lions, Cloud can equip female only items!?!?!?
WHY CAN CLOUD EQUIP FEMALE ONLY HATS AND ACCESSORIES!!?!?!?

It's just a wild guess, but maybe because of the Wall Market cross-dressing stuff?

He got a sex change after realizing how much fun he had cross dressing, and he was obviously not into any of the girls. Makes sense.

I'm just annoyed I couldn't stay that way for the rest of the game, including in battles.

I am close to 100% sure if you look around you can find a game mod that will let you do that.
