2011 looks to be a good year
-
Apparently 2011 is going to set a record for the number of sequels in a calendar year :(
My sister saw I Am Number Four yesterday and said it was basically like Twilight, but with an alien instead of a vampire. And about as cringeworthy.
-
Oh god why are they remaking The Thing? Completely unnecessary.
-
Strictly it's not a remake, it's a prequel centred around the Norwegian scientists who discovered the alien. It'll still probably stink of course.
-
Its only guranteed to stink if John Carpenter is involved. He may have directed the original but he couldn't direct traffic now.
Theres apparantly going to be a remake of Fright Night this year as well. 2011 is certified to piss me off.
-
All I see is a bunch of remakes and sequels. Hardly what I consider a good year for movies. The Adjustment Bureau looks like it's going to be interesting though. But I was on set for that so I'm bias.
EDIT: Oh, and the Paul movie I wanna see. Such a great cast.
-
Cars 2? Really, you're excited about Cars 2??
A lot of these movies look cringeworthy to me. Battle For Los Angeles, Transformers 3, Pirates 4, Smurfs, Green Lantern, etc. Blegh.
I am however, excited for Harry Potter.
-
Here's the plot of battle for Los Angeles:
Aliens: Behold! We have come to take over your precious Los Angeles! Now you must fight us to save your city!
Angelinos: Naw it's cool. *mass exodus to the Valley and OC, jamming up the freeways (but no more than usual)*
I am excited for Harry Potter and the Marvel movies. I usually get excited for Pixar movies but I didn't even watch Cars 1 (only Pixar movie I haven't seen).
-
Sucker Punch, Thor, Super 8, Captain America, and Harry Potter.
I will not pay to watch any of the others.
-
The Adjustment Bureau is the only one I'm excited for. I'm pretty sure they based it off that Twilight Zone episode.
-
It based off a story written by Phillip K. Dick.
There are more movies coming out this year that I want to see than there have been in the last few years combined.

Ah yeah, guess you're right. They must have based the Twilight Zone episode from that then too. I enjoyed it, and it looks like I'll enjoy the movie too.

Well even though I think it's stupid to remake Pirates of the Caribbean I'll be honest I was kinda excited until I saw Penelope Cruz. That's a deal breaker for me.
I am, however, looking forward to Harry Potter. The first part was so well done, I can't wait to see the rest!
One that wasn't mentioned was The Dream Machine by Satoshi Kon. I want to see it because, unfortunately, Satoshi Kon passed away last August and this is his last film =(
