DS RPG in space!! Help me find it!

I just remembered an RPG I saw in Nintendo Power a long time ago. It had a lot of focus on character development, from what I remember, and it had a supplementary mini-Anime series. And you had to engage in space battles. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? o,o
