I know it stands for Party Hensei System because Barret calls it that in the game, but where is it explained on the link?Quote:

No he doesn't. When he gives it to you he just says "this is a PHS". I know because for years and many playthroughs I was just calling it "Phone Home Somebody".Quote:

As for the explanation on that page, I assume the OP is referring to the first line "A Cellphone (also called PHS, handset, or simply phone)". Phone or handset or Phone Handset.
I used to think it stood for Player Handling System.
I'l check my manual when I can.
I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I distinctly remember knowing it was Party Hensei System, becuase as a kid I called it "Pary Hentai System" - yeah, I was a real geek back then...::riiight::

also, i played through the game a million times and never once have i seen the initials explained before.
Totally did not see that the first time. Although, I'm sure I saw "Hensei" somewhere, so maybe that was a translation error (as much as I love FFVII a lot of minor things got translated badly).Quote:
