OC Profile Help

I'm trying to puzzle some things help, mostly I need help with names - as I want to keep them in line with things, you'll see what I mean soon enough. Here is the profile I have done already.

PS: This is a bit out of whack right now, I'm still working on the structure.

Edit: This is for Final Fantasy VII - I honestly think I should be obvious with "Tifa", "Edge", "Shinra", and other words.


She was born with the name _________, her mother was a renown artist of 23 years named _______ Painter and her father was a pianist named ______ Keys - her parents kept separate names. She is (in DC) currently 20 years old, born on July 29. She was born with dark chestnut brown hair and bright brown eyes, she has fair skin. Her birthtown is _______; while her current hometown is Edge, she will spend a night at Tifa's bar. When she meets Cloud and the others she has gained the nicknamed "Silvery" (or ぎん[いろ]ちゃん "Gin[iro]-chan" in Japanese) by the children in Edge, which references her current hair color. After meeting both Cloud and Vincent - and learning about their histories with Shinra, she begins to call Vincent "Big Bother" (or 兄貴 "Aniki" in Japanese) and Cloud as "Brother" (or お兄さん "Onī-san" in Japanese). This is her way to respect both of them.

When she was 16 years old, she changed her name to her current and preferred name which is _______________. A year later Hōjō kidnapped her from her place of residence in Mideel. While she was in Hōjō's "care" she - unwillingly - underwent Makō radiation and was subjected to several surgeries - many of which were to implant JENOVA cells into her bone marrow. All of this has caused her hair to become silver and her eyes to become a copper-rust green with hints of amber, her once round pupils changed to catty¹ ones. It is also because of Hōjō's "Care" that her speed and strength increased, her hearing and sight enhanced, and her endurance grown - all tremendously. She became a female version of Sephiroth - yet she managed to maintain her sanity, emotions, and sense of self. Hōjō gave her the number "XIV" (or "14") and the name "_________".

For her first year in the "care" of Shinra, Scarlett had forced her to learn how to fight with her body, with swords and daggers, with spears and quarterstaffs, and with Materia of all sorts. She trained with the Tsviets, under watchful eyes; yet they did not see her fit for a 'Color Name'. While she lived with the other Tsviets, she befriended or became on acquaintance of Shelke, whom she teasingly calls "Orangy" (or オレンジちゃん "Orange-chan" in Japanese) with affection.

In the three years that she was in the "care" of Shinra, she also received a liver transplant - this liver contained the cells of "G". This was because after Hōjō transferred her to the "care" of Hollander who was still working on Project G[illian] - a project that was deemed inferior to Project S[ephiroth], and was thus tossed aside. Hollander placed her as a potential Tsveit and gave her the name "__________".

When Vincent Valentine killed Hōjō the second time, she had gathered enough courage to leave the miserable "housing", she left the place minutes before Omega appeared.

Her personality has changed. Before, she was an outgoing and confident young woman who dreamed of opening a small café. Now she is extremely shy to the point of skittishness, she rarely stands up for herself. Yet she still dreams of opening a small café, now she wishes to start a small daycare center or an orphanage for children whose parents died during the Geostigma and Omega "Scares". One thing that has stayed the same is her protective and motherly nature for those who are younger or weaker then she is, she is still childlike at time. Now a days, she has trouble making friends when before she had no problems making friends.

One her flaws is her physical resemblance to Sephiroth, which has caused people to fear her - her resemblance to Sephiroth has caused her to be insecure about herself. She is also very fearful of being alone or abandoned by those she cares for. Many times, she looks down on herself, viewing herself as a weaker being. Children are precious to her, they are innocently naive and always hoping for a better life, she cannot bring herself to attack or harm children - if it is unintentional, she will try to comfort the ones she did harm. She will walk a lost child back to their parents or caretakers, she tries to comfort upset or scared children. She has a childlike natures that she hides with a calm and collected demeanor, which coupled with her levelheadedness and physical resemblance to Sephiroth can spook people. Those who get to know her, soon learn of her childlike nature and her insecurity.

(I image that, by Japanese standards her speech is like this...) She uses あたくし atakushi most of the time, when she is looking down on herself she uses げら gera². When she is confident, she ends her sentences with either わよ wa yo or のよ no yo. She will use あなた anata or the person's name when she referring to others. Her favorite words or phrases are 鏡花水月 kyōka suigetsu meaning "mirror-flower water-moon"³ (In the English version this gets translated as "Illusion") and 命根の宝 meikon no takara meaning "treasure of life" (translated as "Life's treasures"). Her speech is very polite, almost humble, to all ages. She has a soft voice that carries on the wind, she is often rather sarcastic and very witty - mostly around those who she doesn't know or trust which is mostly adults or those her age. She talks like a child to those you are younger then she is.

She keeps two daggers on her belt - the daggers are often sheathed, these daggers are her backup weapons. She prefers to use a quarterstaff as her main weapon. She uses her body as a last resort. Her quarterstaff is called Aether Rod, while her daggers are both nameless.

Her choice of attire is a white, cotton, zip-up jacket - which she leaves unzipped - worn over a sky blue shirt that has dark azure lapels. Her jacket is a long sleeved bolero style, kind of jacket. She wears a pair of dark brown tights that come down to her ankles, she wears a knee long skirt over her tights. Her dark brown footwear is fit for walking in snow, she also wears a pair of white socks (which are not visible). She wears a brown belt, the sheathes for her daggers are midnight blue - they rest on her hips (one on each hip). In the winter or walking about a snow field, she wears a white leather, ankle long, trench coat over her attire.

(In game terms...) When she starts getting desperate she can use one of her two current Limit Breaks. One creates a beam of light, with rain gently falling on her target which heals them (so that they have ½ (half) their HP back) - this one is called _____________. The other channels a harsh icy wind around the opposite ends of her Aether Rod, around the blades of her daggers, or even creates a pair of Glacial Blades when she is without a weapon - when she strikes her opponent they are harmed by the harsh icy wind (damages her opponent by ½ their current HP), this is called Icicle ___________.

¹ Catty in this case refers to feline.
² gera is an archaic and humble way of saying "I" in Japanese. Something she learned from her grandmother when she knew her.
³ 鏡花水月 kyōka suigetsu meaning 'mirror-flower water-moon'" the proper translation is "Flower in the mirror and moon in the (pond) water" which refers to an illusion.


So, I must ask for help with figuring out which name I can use for the names that Hōjō and Hollander gave her, her birth name and her changed name. Along with pretty much all of the blank spots that have a ________..... I truly hope for some help.

I say it write now, the nicknames Silvery and Orangy come from the nickname that Hinamori Momo in Bleach gives to Hitsugaya Tōshirō - that nickname is 白ちゃん "Shiro-chan" or "Whitey"

Hypo, it might be very long - but my character profiles (especially for my characters) tend to be long. But I would like help with finding proper names for the ______ spots...

so this isnt actually from the game, I can make up neat sounding names?

It is meant to be in the game's universe. Not to certain how much clearer I can get.... Hypo, you can help me by finding her birthtown - a location that can be semi- or completely official in the FF7 universe.

sounds like she has spent most of her life on the eastern continent so either junon or healin or ... that town over by midgar....

Hmm, didn't really think of that.... Something I will consider. Although, Healin is a new location (in terms of when it was constructed it) but still something to consider.

Looking at a map, and taking a few things of timing into account... She is 20 years old in DC, that means that she would be 19 in AC and 17 in the game itself. When I look at where Cloud, Zack, Aerith, and other characters were born I do notice that many would have had to journey a ways to get to Midgar - this means any location, such as the very tempting Costa Del Sol, is a likely candidate.

Edit: I think I'll use Costa Del Sol as her birthplace. I cam across the word Elohim, which is linked to the sephirot - that works for me.
