Hello :)

Hello, I'm new here, I started lurking here (and at a few other forums) a few months ago. And after putting it off for a while now, I finally decided to join. I'm not sure how active I'll be, but I'll try to stay as active as I can.

I was first introduced to the Final Fantasy series when I was like 7, I used to watch my uncle play Final Fantasy VII, I played it myself a few times, but I kind of sucked. However I didn't seriously get into Final Fantasy until about a year ago, when I bought myself a PlayStation 1 and every game before 10, except for VII, which I plan on buying eventually. My favorite FF game is definitely Final Fantasy VIII, I just really loved the universe, story, characters and the all-around feel and setting to the game. Even if some of the new gameplay mechanics were somewhat difficult to understand at first, such as GF, junction, and drawing. I swear I still have no idea how to play Triple Triad, despite going through the tutorial several times.

Outside of Final Fantasy, I love Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, and everything by Blizzard and Valve. I've always sort of been a retro-gamer, I've spent countless hours playing classic PC games from the 1990s and I literally grew up on the original Battle.net (used to play on US West, now I play on US East). Other than gaming though, I love guns, science fiction and politics. I consider myself a conservative, however I am liberal on some issues, such as abortion and gay marriage. I am a very big supporter of gun rights, and that is an important issue for me and I love both concealed and open carry, unfortunately you need to be 21 to concealed carry in my state, so I can only open carry at the moment. I aspire to someday be a representative, either at the state or federal level, and possibly even become the President of the United States someday.
