Dilemma
you've been dating a guy for 6 months. he invited you to dinner at a restaurant at 8pm. It is half an hour later and he hasn't shown up. You call and text him but he does not respond. what do you do?
note: i am not giving more information than this
note: i am not going to tell you what ends up happening - that's not important or the question
-
-
I leave, and I expect him to have a good explanation for standing me up if he intends to see me again.
P.S. Give more info, ass.
-
I put thumbtacks on his chair and wait patiently.
-
I track him down and wrap my arms around his strong legs, crying "Why, Dan? Why?"
-
Acceptable excuses
- Death
- Serious Accident
- They are Superman and there was a crisis with a bus full of school children in Africa
Weak excuses
- I'm really sorry I just lost track of time
- I was working late and couldn't get out of it
- My phone died and I couldn't let you know I was running late
Unacceptable Excuses
- My wife that I didn't tell you about has just gone into labour.
- I've realised that I don't really like you and decided to ignore you completely and hope you go away.
- I was on my way but a bear came out of nowhere and bit my hand off... whilst I was holding my phone! Why do I still have two hands? Err... it got better...
-
I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he's in the middle of a really good game, which is an acceptable excuse in my book
-
If it's been 6 months, I think he should have the chance of being at least heard out.
-
I let out a serious fart that creates a gas cloud with a holding pattern over his chair. If he shows up late his face will melt worse than the dudes at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
-
Half an hour isn't so bad, I'd probably just be listening to some tunes.
-
I would leave and continue attempting to get in contact with him to figure out what was going on.
-
Wait another 1/2 hour, call him 3 or 4 times more. If you get no answer then just leave
-
Become straight and then bang his mom.

I've been dating this guy six months? I leave a message on his phone or send a text saying something along the lines of "hey uh, you're half an hour late and I can't reach you so Imma head home. Let me know what's up so I know you didn't like, get horribly maimed or something." If this isn't a common occurrence, then I'm probably just a little annoyed.
