Minor Childhood Tribulations

This is kind of like the whole first world problem things, but the point of this thread is to talk about something that happened during your childhood that annoyed you. It can be something embarrassing, annoying, etc. Nothing too serious--save that for EoEo.

I'll start. When I was a kid, they had a snack called Grizzly Chomps. The whole I idea was that there was a bite already taken out of the product, which was a cupcake, and it is your RADICAL job to finish the snack.

Anyway, my mom bought them because they were on sale, and I dreaded taking them to the lunchroom back when I was in elementary school. There is a reason why this snack didn't last very long. Because even us stupid kids can see what a rip-off this product was on all fronts. Yes, even if they were on sale.

Of course, I got all sorts of grief that day about how my family must be poor and/or how my parents are stupid for buying it.

So yeah, tell a story like that.

Santa totally gypped me out of ever getting a life-size Barbie.

In fifth grade, I told a girl, one of my best friends, that I liked her. She said to a mutual friend of ours, "I would date him if he was a lot hotter".

Now, I don't think she was trying to be horribly mean saying this, and she didn't say it straight to me(The friend told me). She was probably saying that I was a good person on the inside and everything, just a train wreck to look at. It still hurt, though.

But now look at me! Look at the sexiness of my signature and weep! MUAHAHAHAHA!

When I was in the third grade (maybe second?), I decided to wear aaaaalll my favorite clothes at the same time one day. So I wore my combat boots, my ripped up camouflage pants, a navy blue sweat shirt with Alf on it that said, "Junk Food for Joy", and my neon and green and purple Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hip pouch. F**K YEAH.

That day happened to be picture day. So my awesome outfit,complete with untucked t-shirt sticking out from underneath my sweatshirt and my goober haircut, are forever immortalized in the form of a Christmas tree ornament.

I make sure to point it out to potential romantic interests during the holidays. They melt at my suave yet debonair sense of fashion. I'm actually pretty proud of that whole thing though.

I guess one embarrassing moment was in 6th grade when we were all playing "Kill the Man with the Football". It was my turn, and I totally slid and fell down in a giant mud puddle. I spent the rest of the school day with my entire back covered in dirt because they wouldn't let me go home. :mad2:
