So this what an HD 2D remake might look like.

This was a cool little fan video I found. The sprites have been touched up a bit but not redrawn, it's mostly the audio and some editing that makes it interesting.

For those wondering why the cast of VI never show up, apparently they actually wrote a finished version of the opera in Japan for one of the Distant Worlds album, so this video shows a hypothetical conclusion to the opera and it's pretty damn awesome if you ask me.

Huh, the sprites look exactly like they do on my emulator...

I feel a bit mean being the one saying this, but this hardly looks in any way like the HD reskins of 1, 2 and 4 do. It's just the original sprites blown up. Those other games had their graphics almost redone from scratch. Well, except the monster sprites where they just used higher quality versions of the scans of Amano's artwork.

An HD reskin of FF6 would truly kick ass though.
