I think it was sort of implied, but they never explicitly said Rikku and Gippal dated.
Rikku coulda dated Brother for all we know. The way they do things in that family......
It's been a long time but I don't remember thinking anything like that. Gippal was a pretty cool guy though, he'd do alright. So long as he doesn't have a problem with the fact that Rikku dresses like a slut, I guess.
They aren't blood-related, right...?
Not as far as I know, but if Brother is anything to go by, the entire Al Bhed race might be inbred...

Either a delusional joke or that pretty much confirms it. Either way, wouldn't be surprised if they did pair up in FF X-3 (which hopefully won't exist).
I don't remember him ever saying that. I'm not saying you're lying. Just don't remember that part.
I think if you visit Temple Djose in Chapter 3 prior to completing Besaid and Kilika he'll say that. Not sure though.
I'm way too lazy to find the video of him saying that, but he does say it at Djose Temple in Chapter 3 right to Rikku's face.
I was starting to suspect this. Maybe they've no issue with inbreeding, and Spiran physiology just so happens to mutate frequently enough that it doesn't cause problems :PQuote:
