Two sides to every song...

As the titles states, " "... so if you had to pick a side, who would you choose?

The pattern goes:

Answer whose side your on: the singer/artist or the person they're singing about (this won't make any sense if the song you choose isn't about someone or doesn't have some kind of conflict).
Give an explanation for why you've chosen this side.
Name a song for the next person to choose sides on.

Rules: Preferably, your answer should be serious. However, if your sarcastic answer is funny enough, I'll let that slide. But if you're answer irritates me in the slightest, I'll warn on your post and then follow you around the site calling you an a-hole.
