What's not to love? Curling is the sport of kings. Canada has got this one right. Now if only we could watch it down here in the States more often than once every four years for the Winter Olympics.
Curling is the greatest sport and noblest contest in known space, and I can think of little that would surpass it except, perhaps, the actual implementation of Blitzball.
I don't have an opinion on ice bowling, but I like it when the score reaches penguin to 17.

Actually, a friend of mine confessed to liking it recently. Next winter Olympics I think I'll check it out with him.

I'm surprise you both didn't say you love it, because it's almost purely mathematical and based in physics.
I can understand that people enjoy playing curling, because pretty much any sport/game that requires any sort of skill can be fun to play. But watching curling for any length of time is just boring, though seeing people frantically brushing at the ice while there's screaming all around is interesting in a bewildering sort of way. I fully admit that, having not played curling before, I am not in a good position to appreciate everything involved.
