We have this harbor over where I live that got bombed to hell and back.
Bunkers make for fun playhouses if there are no bums or animals within.
There's a bomb shelter around here, but I'm pretty certain it's post WWII. Maybe it was built during the early years of the cold war scare.
My dad spent some time as a kid in Germany. He was born in Berlin. While he was playing he found a pair of Nazi Germany pliers that he found in one of the bunkers after the war. Still has them.
There's a bomb shelter two towns over. I don't really know why, from memory we didn't get a whole lot of action down this way.
Our high school had a fallout shelter in the basement. It was supposedly haunted, and god knows what else was down there being kept in it.
I always wanted to go down there but never got a chance. :(
i'd guess bomb shelters are more likely cold war era than ww2 era but i might be wrong. fallout shelters definitely since the advent of nuclear weaponry was kinda what ended ww2 (america smurf yeah)
