In this day and age, it's the RPG and JRPG that tend to dominate "best of" lists. It's like a lot of people think you can't have a genuinely good piece of music in certain genres of gaming.
Granted there are a lot of orgasm-inducing JRPG soundtracks out there (Xenogears) but I was revisiting the greatness that was SNK and man did they turn out some of the best music I've ever heard in video games. Didn't have the big overblown orchestras or ominous chants but they didn't smurfing need them.
So yes - what are your favorite fighting game tunes? Feel free to post the original or arranged versions.
