Anyone know why the Galbadian anthem is called Cactus Jack on the FFVIII soundtrack? It seems oddly specific for a randomly-chosen title, and doesn't seem to have any connection to President Vinzer Deling either. Anyone got theories or info on this?
Wikipedia lists a few people sometimes known as Cactus Jack, but again there's nothing that seems to help.
According to wikipedia, John Nance Garner's, the 32nd Vice President of the United States, nickname was Cactus Jack.
So basically, the connection is that the both peeps were presidents.
I always assumed that it was a reference just to Galbadia's dusty and desert climate ( e.g. near the Garden, prison, and missile base). Other thought that 'Jack' might refer to a flag rather than a person (e.g Union Jack), though I think a jack is generally a naval flag, so I might be clutching at straws there.
Mick Foley's name does not deserved to be dragged down by anything FF VIII related. :colbert:
