I've seen it. It's at the very end right? It was weird and I do not know why it happens.
Tapir automatically comes and cures a character from various status ailments after a certain amount of time. This will happen anywhere in the game, not just in Kefka's Tower. It's just a quirky way of having the spell wear off. Tapir's also one of Mog's Dance abilities, so it's not a completely random effect created just for removing status effects after a certain amount of time, just an oddly re-used one.
Strange.. I don't remember any Tapir in my playthroughs.
Probably because us intelligent people just use remedies:drool:
I always come ready to kill any and all status effects when they happen. I didn't even know what this trout is you are talking about. :p
I've had it happen to me in that place where relm is painting that esper and you have to kill Cheddar Nook.
