I clocked in at 30 days my first time.
KEEP IN MIND. There was no timer programmed into the game. I had to do things like eat, go to school and sleep in those 30 days too.
So how long did it take you?

Final Fantasy I ?
Still haven't done it yet. I got lost somewhere. Maybe I should carry on.
Depends on which version as well. The original NES version took me about 20 hours I would guesstimate due to adding in things like grinding and being killed and having to replay sections over. It took me a few tries to beat the Chaos Shrine for example.
PSP version? About 8-10 hours. Not terribly difficult when everything is inexpensive, all the spells work, and the game is designed to be anti-grinding compared to the original. Didn't even need to use the Peninsula of Power trick.
well, i first played it in like, 1991 or 92 or something like that? and i beat it in...2002?
10 years.
About 35 hours on the Origins version. Didn't play any other versions of the original besides that. Pretty difficult without a guide and no understanding of what a real RPG was like (like running 5 feet in the wrong direction at Lvl. 6 and fighting a Lvl 50 dinosaur or something....oh and you forgot to save lol).
EDIT: Oh but I see you meant the total time even when the game was turned off? Probably like 15 days my only time through.
~30 hours. So, I beat it in a week or two.
Couple of weeks, I think? Difficult to remember, it was about 10 years ago. I was a random student bum and I did it on a NES emulator so it wouldn't have taken too long.
>>> A month?. NES version, without a guide and a total RPG noob..:luca:
It was around a month for me as well the first time I played it on the NES way back in the day.
Same reply as the last two old geezers.
Not too sure. Not long these days. I do have yet another thread.
I spent a month or two playing it on and off between other games.
ages. I don't usually put in lots of time into any game. I did eventually finished it about two months ago
The GBA version took me 16 hours and one minute. I also managed to beat it in one sitting. Never again.
It took me around 30 hours on the NES version with the original guide. I was 5 at the time so I was super happy when I finished it.
