It is always nice to see an independent project for a video game get funded successfully on Kickstarter. I think they may have been a little too ambitious in setting their goals, though -- $2,500,000 for virtual reality support? Am I reading that right?

Cool sounding project I guess, but the three I've just linked to interest me a lot more!
What a shame. That project had a $4,000,000 goal for "Enhancing the Entire Game" and they fell short of it ending at $3.9 million or so. I wonder if they will hold an additional drive to get the remaining money since they were so close to that goal? Is that allowed? Gosh, they were so close.Quote:

Actually Eternity got well above $4M for their game because Kickstarter does not include Paypal donations and Obsidian received I think $300,00 of those. Anyway, all four of the old-school(ish) RPG Kickstarters have made me very happy and very poor, with Eternity and Torment being my personal favorites.
