So everytime Don Imus interviews someone in Imus in the morning he's always asking about their 5 favorite songs. It's like a prerequisite for coming on his show. So It got me thinking, what would be my 5 favorite songs if "The I Man" were to ask me?
I grew up with this movie and it was surprisingly dark and terrifying for Care Bears.

Argh, tough. I'll give it a shot.
The best build up in any song I've ever heard. It makes me want to cry, it's so good.
Another amazing build up but much more hectic and just as powerful. Also, the drumming.
Greatest song on one of the all time greatest albums.
I have a copy of these lyrics handwritten by Carina Round herself, all the lyrics in her songs are poetry, and this is probably my favourite example of that.
This is a tough spot, normally it would have gone to Orestes by A Perfect Circle, which was my favourite song for almost a decade. But I just don't listen to them enough to justify it anymore. So this is probably my favourite track out of the type of music that I listen to these days. Plus, Dan is singing on it <3
EDIT: I forgot Racecar by Periphery u_u That could very easily be in that #5 slot, and it's actually the most listened to track on my iTunes at 1035 plays.

5. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Tell Me, Baby 4. Brand New - Jesus Christ 3. Alkaline Trio - Continental 4. Rilo Kiley - My Slumbering Heart Everything about this song perfectly encompasses my happiness when I think about myself as a happy person and my life in the future. Having children, going on adventures, waking up next to the one you love and realizing and accepting your flaws and faults and learning to live with them happily. Between Jenny's voice and words, Blake's guitar solos and reflecting on myself and where I want to be in life, it's absolutely perfect. 1. Rilo Kiley - Spectacular Views It is impossible for me to listen to this song and be anything but absolutely and completely ecstatic. The opening chords, the beat, the words, Jenny's voice, all of it makes me feel like I'm going to burst with happiness. I think about being on the California coast and having the most amazing day and allowing the beauty of the ocean and everything about the coast completely take me over. This song has some of the most beautiful words of any song that I identify with:
you never knew why you felt so good in the strangest of places
like in waiting rooms or long lines that made you late or mall parking lots on holidays
As mentioned for #2, Jenny's voice and Blake's chords are so perfect. Someone could have just died and this song would make me happy.
