I've heard people make jokes about it and I didn't get what was so funny but it's actually hilarious in context.

So is the spoony bard a mistranslation or something or does that world just have some different insults?

To my knowledge the original dialogue wouldn't pass North American censorship standards and had the goofy version subbed in instead.
