Anyway, I've downloaded the ISO for FF8, installed Daemon Lite, changed the default drive to E in the reg and pretty much everything I can seem to find that I need to do in order to run this game on my computer and it still insists that I need to insert a disc. I'm about to have a smurfing aneurysm. Haaaaaaalp!

You definitely downloaded a PC version of the game right? And not an .iso of the Playstation version?
Just figured I'd ask the obvious.
Why do you have to assign a default drive? All you need to do is right-click on the .ISO and select "Mount with Daemon Tools" or "Open With" Daemon Tools. Once it's mounted, you're good to go. Doesn't matter what the drive letter is.
