I do. Again, like in Dimensions and V, the sprites are redrawn by Kazuko Shibuya, so the original sprite artist for the game. I would still prefer a IVDS-style remake, but at least it's not the FFIV PSP squeaky spritework that I hated.
I could probably live with the backgrounds (Vector doesn't look too bad. The mountain is a bit too clean though so I'd have to see more), but those characters look awful. Don't like the colour and shading choices at all.
I'm not impressed. Many of the assets look like they've just been automatically upscaled. Not a lot of extra detail, like there is in for example FF1, 2 for PSP compared to FF Origins on PS1, and FF4 going from original/GBA to PSP.
Making the snow as white as that makes it looks like it's in the middle of day rather than night/dusk.

I have to say that the sprites look terrible to me, just like in every single other instance SE has tried to 'improve' the sprites for a more up to date platform. At least this is on a platform I will never every play, so I am not too disappointed.
The backgrounds look amazing. I wouldn't say the overall effect is perfect, especially with the character sprites, but I think on the whole I like it.
This Needs to come to both Vita and 3DS or heads will roll.
Those sprites are a disaster. They look like they're from a lazy mobile game, not Final Fantasy 6.

Very weak. FFVI deserves far better than this. Something closer to FFIV 3DS would have worked, or something even better, but this is just kinda insulting. Oh well, I'll buy it anyway, but I hope they get around to doing something more deserving for the best RPG of all time.
How is this insulting? Unless they put aside the resources for a true hd remake, a 2d remake is as good as we are going to get. Would you really be happy with a version that looked like the 3d version on DS? I wouldn't.Quote:
