Well I was reading TVTropes(is it still 2013? hard to tell when you visit that place. It is like the land of the fae) and came across this -

That seems rather insane, to be honest, but kind of cool in an equally weird way.
There really can't be that much rubbish, can there? Like, is the town hall on a trash heap or something? If you're going to leave litter, you're hardly going to walk up the town hall steps and drop it there.

So this is why I tag at least 3 Germans per day on the DS street pass, they're escaping!
Think that this might have something to do with their very low birth rate. Maybe if they get married sooner they will have more babies?
I think most men would prefer to sweep rubbish...
