Remember those goons with the Rayden hats? Well they make me think of his hat...not sure if it's the same type.

Find out they're NORG's henchmen and rather unpleasant. They're also the source of one of the most annoying plot holes in the game. A relatively minor one considering FFVIII's plot is made of Swiss Cheese but did anybody else ever notice how they just kinda...vanish after you kill NORG? Note that they can't just leave the Garden because at this point it was adrift in the middle of the ocean. They just ran out of NORG's chamber and that was the last you see of them as far as I know.

I remember thinking they were so cool because of that hat. I was so disappointed when they turned out to be bad guys.

I noticed I just never cared. There might have been more room in the basement then we were shown so they could have hid there and then hightailed it after Garden crashed into Fisherman's Horizon. Not much of an excuse though since it's something that could have been resolved with a couple lines of dialog from one of the various NPCs, but I talked to most of them and never saw anything.

They could be robots. This was what I always suspected.

They could have teleported away. Instant Transmission style.

They're kind of jerks so I never minded that they left. I has assumed that Cid/NORG fired them after the whole Garden takeover thing. I mean, I would fire them.

I always figured they either were imprisoned and then got released when they Garden reached land, or they simply gave up and integrated themselves into Garden since their leader was gone.

Probably carried NORG pod off so he could hatch again.
