That's the overworld theme, when you first exit the Wind Crystal cave. It's the first one you hear.
I personally like the battle theme from this game, as it introduced a kick drum sound to Final Fantasy!
I hadn't even noticed! I guess this is what I get for playing games on mute.
Though it's not in the actual games, it was written for FFIII, this is easily my favorite track associated with FFIII
