I'd add an interactive scene at the beginning showing each of the crystals selecting your party and sending them off to Cornelia, explaining how each warrior has a crystal, and perhaps throwing hints about the Sky Warriors having failed their attempt in the past.

Probably give Garland more of a backstory. It doesn't have to be a huge deal, maybe just change a bit of the NPC dialogue in the castle to add some info. No, I don't want references to Dissidia either, it's a fun game but its plot is utterly ridiculous.
On some levels I felt like the Dissidia plot was a disgrace.
I would like a bunch more starting job classes for a deluxe edition type game. Not necessarily anything too crazy, because I wouldn't want them to add a bunch more equipment and spells but just more to keep that replay value up.
