Today i have watched some Let's Play video fo Donkey Kong. That reminded me of my childhood. I couldn't believe which awesome tracks it has and I didn't remember. What do you think of the DK soundtrack?

Don't think you can find a sidescrolling platformer on this planet with better music.

Snow Level (dunno if that is the actual name, it's what's in my soundtrack folder in either case)

Water World
Interestingly, there wasn't all that much memorable music in the first game. It seemed to rely a lot more on ambient sounds to set the stage's atmosphere. I think DKC2 is both the best game out of the three, and also the one with the best soundtrack.

apparently the water stage music in the first game is called aquatic ambience, so then the second track i listed is probably also completely wrong.
My favorites from Donkey Kong Country 2 are Snakey Chantey and Schoolhouse Harmony. Never quite got the love for Stickerbrush; it's very good but I thought there were several better.
Oh, and let's not forget the fun little ditties from the original Donkey Kong! :love:

Not sure if this counts since it is a remix, but I love this version of the underwater music from the first Donkey Kong Country.
You grew up with these games too huh? My entire childhood was the DKC trilogy, Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I like the music in all 3 of them but the final boss theme for DKC2 is the bomb. Gotta love David Wise. :shobon:
