I just put new guts into mine today :)

CPU: Intel Core i3-4360 3.7GHz 1150 socket
Motherboard: MSI B85-G41 PC MATE
Graphics: MSI GTX480
CPU fan: Noctua NH-U14S
RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB 1333Mhz DDR3
Power Supply: Rosewill RBR1000-M 1000-Watt Bronze Series 80 Plus
Case: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower
Primary HDD: Seagate 320GB
Secondary HDD: Seagte 500GB
Sony 32" LED TV
logitech keyboard
Black Xbox360 controller (only gets used when flying helicopters in DayZ)

I built my computer and I forget most of the internals. I feel the most important parts of your gaming PC are mouse, keyboard, controller and monitor. The internals just need to be fast enough to run your games, which any halfway-decent computer will be nowadays. It's more important that the stuff you're holding in your hands and staring at all day are high quality.

CPU: i5-3570K that I overclocked a little bit because the BIOS made it really easy
RAM: 16GB because I use this computer for things other than gaming
Hard drive: 1TB of cheap slowness
Mouse: Razer Deathadder, corded because a battery-powered mouse makes me sad
Keyboard: Unicomp mechanical keyboard with state-of-the-art 1980's buckling springs technology
Controller: Razer Onza that I took apart and rebuilt because it had factory defects, would not buy again
Monitor: ASUS VG248, 24" 144hz with 3D so I can run LightBoost, 1ms response time because input lag

I5 3 GHz 16 gb ram 256gb ssd somewhere around 5 TB magnetic storage gtx 460 1 gb graphics card 2x24" ips 16:10 monitors

I need more ram, 16 gb doesn't cut it when doing heavy photo editing. Stitching a mere 5 20MP images eats 10 gb already, and then there's lightroom munching on 2 gb in the background as well.

Screens: 2x Iiyama Prolite E2407HDS (dual screen is a must have for photo edition and productivity in general), and if needed, I can extend to my 32" Bravia TV for triple screen action.
Keyboard: Logitech G11
Mouse: Logitech Steelseries WoW cataclysm edition
Sound: most of the time two usb speakers, and when I really want sound, my Onkyo amp for 5.1 surround goodness.
Hard Drive: about 2T in this tower, a 2T network drive, a 1.5T backup server, and 750G in usb HDDs.

while for the most part I agree but I was basically forced to upgrade since my core 2 quad couldn't handle the Arma II engine very nicely.

I've tried a couple of stitch-only applications but I found that neither of them gave the same visual quality (and control) as photoshop (CS6) did. I'll try out this one, though.

Up until this point my PC is basically the same. Can't remember the exact specs because I build mine too and my last upgrade was more than a year ago. I've got an EVGA Geforce 560ti as well.
