Interestingly enough, despite my absolute love for FFIII, V is one of my least favorites. I don't care for the villain, I like a whopping ONE dungeon in the game, don't care about the story in the least (to the point that I can't even run you through most of the game's events even though I finished it again earlier this year), and only found two characters, neither of whom is the lead, remotely interesting.
That said, much like FFVIII, while almost everything story related drags me down, I enjoy nearly every element of the game involving combat, and mashing together my jobs into strange combinations is a lot of fun, which, paired with the unique way ultimate weapons are unlocked, is why I've never considered it a bad game, just kind of . . . forgettable.
