Star Trek: The Next Generation...Animated Movie?

Since Brent Spiner is still alive, and a new TNG movie isn't going to happen without Data, why don't they just make an animated feature?

That way Data can still look like Data, and still be played by Brent Spiner. Win/win.

Can we just have a movie about Data and Spot? I would really like that.

Probably not a bad idea if they really, REALLY wanted to do another TNG movie that took place before Data died.

I just now saw Nemesis (glad I didn't read the rest of the replies in this thread first) and I want to cry forever and ever and ever. Why did he have to die in such a bad movie? ; ;

That scene made me cry, but not for the reason it intended to. troutty scripting at its worst.

Precisely. I don't mind characters dying. But "writing them out" is always a terrible way to go :/
