U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan went out a champion yesterday by winning the MLS Cup for the LA Galaxy team 2-1 over the New England Revolution in his final game before his retirement. Earlier this year, he retired from the U.S. national team in a 1-1 draw against Ecuador (he was controversially left off the 23-man squad of the 2014 FIFA World Cup U.S. team by coach Jurgen Klinsmann, but the team still made it to the round of 16).
