Do you regularly enjoy handheld games or do you prefer the console/PC?
I play them a decent amount, although I prefer console games
For me it depends a lot on the situation. When Mister Adequate is over I do a lot of handheld gaming because we can just sit on the couch together and chill. When he's in England I'll do a lot of PC gaming because I'm usually talking to him on the PC.
Sometimes. I really enjoy the Pokemon games, the Zelda Game Boy games, Super Mario Land and Super Mario Bros Deluxe, Metroid Fusion, the Buffy games, Phoenix Wright, and Kirby's Dream Land.
I used to play a lot of 3DS games, as well as DS/GBA Games. I've mostly been playing PC games just now (Read FFXIV).
Nope! Not a fan.
Kills time during my commute, and it's fun, so yes all the time.
My 3DS is my most played system.
Yes and no.
:monster: I play Playstation games through an emulator on my tablet.
I haven't really dusted off the old Nintendo DS since probably '07.
If I play them like almost every weekday, but don't really "love them" because I vastly prefer playing on home consoles but it's difficult to bring a PS3/4 and TV to work, which poll option do i pick?
No. I haven't owned a handheld system since the first DS. I don't like games taking up space on my phone so I don't bother with them.
Space on your phone is the problem? For me it's never that, but rather battery life.
I haven't had a dedicated handheld console for two years so I haven't been able to play recently. I'm getting a PlayStation Vita for Christmas though so I plan on starting to play some again. My first will be Persona 3 Portable which I had purchased previously on PSN, but only got to play it for a couple hours. Persona 4 Golden will be on my list after that. There are other Vita games that I'm interested in but the liklihood is that I won't get around to buying them due to PS4 games coming out. I can play PS4 games on it through remote play so does that count as handheld?
It's pretty complicated for me. I won't deny I much prefer console gaming, or PC gaming with a controller involved (yeah, I'm one of those people). My problems with handheld gaming is mostly that I just can't find a good position to play in where nothing hurts. Either curling up with them makes my back and neck hurt, or to compensate, I hold it higher, usually while laying down. Then my arms hurt, or go to sleep while playing. Its never a very fun experience, or not a very long experience
To stave off this issue, I bought a VitaTV for the sole purpose of playing some of the Vita's more critically acclaimed games. Which are almost universally compatible, despite a large list of games not being compatible. I own Persona 4: Golden (which I thoroughly love) and Tales of Hearts R (which I haven't fired up), and intend to get Danganronpa 1 and 2
There's been speculation of putting DS/3DS games on Nintendo's eShop and emulating them through the WiiU's gamepad. If this happens, I will definitely be doing this, as I already intend to get a WiiU for Xenoblade X and that will just further the cause
Outside of that I still love my 3DS (and even DS) and PSP collection which can't be played comfortably. It makes me sad, as I might be able to tolerate their best games more and possibly actually finish them. Things like Fire Emblem: Awakening, Trails in The Sky, Devil Survivor Overclocked, Bravely Default, Tales of Innocence, 999, etc.
Fortunately I can get most of the best PSP games on PSN and play them on the VitaTV and enjoy them on the TV (if just a tad fuzzy, it does not ruin the game, hence why one of my first purchases immediately was the Corpse Party collection)
