Everyone was pretty together in Final Fantasy II.
Of the cats with actual personalities though....probably IV or IX in my opinion. Well, probably IV. It only has Cecil and I think Edge with any real problems and both get over their issues pretty quick.
Well Kain has his issues all game but he has no personality so you can forget about it.

XII. I think they fared pretty well. Ashe came dangerously close to megalomania, but she snapped out of it by endgame.
