Yay, all of the ones I like are tied for first! :D ...for a very short time I imagine. ^^;

How are you planning on figuring out the advancements? IMO rather than take the total number of votes for each you should take the percentage of people who voted for it, as each poll has a different number of people voting.

That's one option. I'll try a few out and see what spits out the most representative results.
