I've downloaded the update and am just waiting for the maintenance to finish before I can do the thing! You kids all hyped? What are you going to so first?
I've heard that we can't access the new classes and areas until you can finish the main story. This will suck if it's true as I wanna play as Astrologian.
Exploration ftw. Gotta get them aetherytes.
I think it's because the NPCs for the new classes are in Ishgard, and it has been mentioned several times that you need to get through the 2.X story to get access to it.
All the new crafting and gathering abilities look like they're going to make things more interesting.

I've noticed that my new shiny Medica buff does not work. Anyone else seen this?
The 20% chance to use half mp one? I tried using medica 10-20 times and I think I saw a few of them that used up less mp. Since it's not one of those "x% chance next something is y% something-er" you don't get a buff that clearly tells you it worked.
Gotta say I've been really enjoying the new expansion.
