[D23 2015] Big Hero 6 World Confirmed for Kingdom Hearts III

Today during Disney's D23 convention producer Shinji Hashimoto announced that San Fransokyo, the setting of the Academy Award-winning Disney film Big Hero 6, along with its loveable cast, will be making an appearance in Kingdom Hearts III.

The story is set to follow the events of the movie instead of recapping them with Sora & co. integrated into it (like in KHII), so expect some interesting twists to the world of Big Hero 6! As illustrated in the concept art, Sora will most likely end up battling a Heartless version of Baymax, while riding on the back of the robot.

The boyfriend and I live big hero 6 so much he has "hairy baby" set as his text notification so naturally, I'm smurfing HYPED at this announcement!

It's a good film, and should make for a great world. It's a shame that I haven't played a Kingdom Hearts game since II and can't remember anything much about the story, as such I'm not hyped for this at all. Maybe I'll think about getting II.5 HD so I can attempt to freshen up on what's happened.

I played CoM, Days, and Coded to tide me over but really, it wasn't necessary. As much as I think I would like to play Sleep and Dream, I'm pretty sure I could go without and just skip to III without feeling like I missed a lot. I'm not one of those a-holes who feels completely ripped off when a story hop-skip-jumps an entire segment as long as they get around to explaining what happened in that time.

Point: I do like the idea of B6 in the game... has Frozen been confirmed? I remember hearing something about Tangled.

Tangled is confirmed and my guess is that Frozen is just around the corner.

Also... Yeah, with BBS and DDD the story has made quite a dramatic shift so I'd recommend at least familiarizing yourself with the story :monster: Unlike the others, which focused more on other aspects of the series, these two should definitely be considered main entries.

Apparently all the worlds are going to be new in KH3 - so Frozen could be on the cards.

If that is the case I wonder what they'll do instead of the Coliseum. It won't feel like a main entry without some cups to compete in.

What if the Big Hero 6 world had a roBOT COLISEUM OMGGG!!!!

It's a good one to include, but I feel like Wreck-It-Ralph is just dying to be a world...

I think it would be cool to see at least one Sqeenix themed world aside from the usual hub town and the final showdown world. I would love running around Spira or something.
