Which real-life sports team would your favourite characters play for?

Obviously Tidus and Wakka would be playing Polo, but what about the other characters? Would Cloud play for Real Madrid or Manchester United? Would we see Red XIII in the outfield for the Red Sox? I can certainly see Tifa rocking the world as part of the Black Ferns (the female equivalent to the All Blacks for those uneducated in such matters). Kimahri might be more suited to playing for Chicago Bulls, while Cid would be a warrior for any America's Cup teams.

So would your favourite character play for Barcelona or Bayern Munich? Perhaps they might be a manager instead of a player? Discuss this important thing while boosting our SEO for Final Fantasy characters and specific sports clubs and franchises.

Barret will obviously be playing for a rugby team. Don't really have a team name in mind though. I would see Zell playing for a team in portugal, full of energy and not afraid to kick.

If that Ribbon twirling can be considered a sport, I know what Aerith is going to do. : )

I'm trying to think of which one would play hockey, but none come to mind. Possibly Edgar from VI, or Edward from IV.

I reckon Tidus would be a baseball player. He would play for the New York Yankees whilst simultaneously playing for the Baltimore Orioles.

I'm not sure what he's like as a pitcher but he would definitely bat for both sides.

Squall is the would be the QB for the Chicago Bears, Gus would play football as well. Auron would be a football coach.

Tidus & Wakka would play soccer.

Amarant, Kimahri & Fran would play hoops.

Balthier would be a F1 racer.

Setzer from VI would lose his everything on the odds.

Which Cid? Not FF7's I hope. I can't imagine him having much stamina left after all that smoking

Irvine from VIII would be on the Olympic shooting team, chatting up the women in-between competitions. Barret might do the same, though he might get disqualified having a machine gun for an arm.

I imagine many sword based characters would do fencing.

Quistis would be great on the Arsenal team - a key player in the first half of FFVIII, she goes missing when it comes to the business end of things.

Irvine seems very much like a Cristiano Ronaldo type.
