I don't have sidewalks in my town so, I don't know anyone who does anything other than drive. Sorry.

My Big GM truck is to sexy not to drive around in. However I used to ride a quad to work all the time when I was younger
My bf rides his longboard (which basically is a long skateboard) to pratically everything. I definitely would like some type of hovercraft to get to short and long distances. /lazy
In New York I see people ride scooters, skateboard, bikes, hovercraft thingies (forgot what they're called) to wherever. People bike from Brooklyn all the way to Manhattan via the Brooklyn or Manhattan bridge.
It makes a lot more sense in urban settings or places like large school campuses.
I'd ride a bike to work if it were closer, but I don't think my old man hip could handle 25-30 miles of biking every day.
