This is being made by the people who made ingress. I was pretty obsessed with that for a while. So this should be pretty damn good too!
I will never be home "brb babe, gonna go catch some pokemon!"
The trailer makes it look so much cooler than it could possibly ever be.
Idk, using augmented reality to catch, trade and battle seems rad as hell even without the trailer. It's pretty corny, tbh. Did anyone else notice those were almost exclusively adults? :p Also, gen 1 pokes only I'm that trailer - they're clearly aiming for nostalgia, but I really hope they'll include all Pokemon in the final product.
Now I wonder how much of the game mechanics they'll implement. Will it be a wholesome Pokemon experience?
And hey, WHAT IF, depending on where you live, there'll be different pokemon in your vicinity? So like if we ever meet up, you guys from the US would have different pokemon than me or anyone in the UK or Australia and then we could just like TRADE? :omgomg:
Good luck getting the legendaries:
"Special event: Catch Arceus up the top of Mt. Everest!"
Though they could do the three pixie Pokemon tie in with lakes. Actually, it might give people an excuse to go outside and enjoy the outdoors. I'm less skeptical about it now.
That's exactly the point. Why stay at home when you can go out and be a motHERSMURFUNG REAL-LIFE POKEMON TRAINER?????
Maybe they'll release the generation in tiers to attempt to keep attention.
Also there's a watch companion thing that works with your phone.

not sure what it does yet...
I was talking more about the trailer showing hundreds of attractive people who are all playing the game together when in reality most people will just be battling their friends.
Well, yeah, there's that.
And Formy, I have Zombies Run to fulfill my physical activity app needs, tyvm :p
