Everything goes in down. All tips go to the bottom!
Well i guess looking at it, my highlighters are just thrown in there....
but the pens and pencils are all point down.
Upward 'cause I like looking at the cap.
Always up. If they have caps on them it saves space for more pens, if they don't the tip could become crushed against the bottom of the pot, therefor damaging the pen and causing a problem when using said pen.

Pens face up to see what colour they are- eg highlighters,felt tips etc. Sometimes you can't tell unless you see the lid.

I don't put them in holders, I have them scattered idly around my desk or shoved into drawers.
Pens and pencils?? Jeeeez... don't you guys have computers? You should get one. They're really cool.
I did not expect this many people to have pencils that face down, dont you people worry about unnecessarily blunting your pencils or drawing on the bottom of your pencil cups!?
I can't use pencils in my work, but if I did have them in a holder, I'd point the ends down, because I would do something dumb and probably stab myself with it.
For a second I thought you were going to say pen and pencils shouldn't be in the same cup. I'm glad to see pen/pencil relations is no longer an issue.Quote:
