There are a few children who are so tough they can survive unscathed, the worlds ruin. Or even go against the embodiment of death itself. But who is your favourite? For me im gonna say Krile because sure she doesnt go through the destruction of the world like relm but she is still pretty strong after galufs death. But i have to say relm krile and eiko are all pretty damn strong.
If I had to pick one, it'd probably be Yuffie. I'm not a huge fan of really-young-child-heroes.
Neither am i to be honest, i just chose the topic because it popped in my head when i saw eiko picture in a ff9 boss theme music lol.
I love a lot of them, but I have to go with Vivi.
Vivi is the most realistic, as he's still a child who is naive and innocent but given an incredible power rather than merely being super great at it.
Eiko. She has powerful summons and healing magic. And she managed to live on her own for years.

I find Eiko the most useful out of the bunch from a character mechanics point of view, but I can't say I like any of the child characters all that much from a story point of view.
I'd say I mainly like Eiko for gameplay reasons too, apart from her strength to live alone. And she looks cute with her purple hair and horn.
She wipes the floor with Garnet on white magic and summoning (if the only good thing about Garnet is Ark, why do i wanna go to the trouble of beating Ozma to do it?)
Eiko has quality not quantity, thats my girl!

Man, I thought I was going to have to debate between Palom, Porom, and Relm but you put Vivi on this list so that made this super easy. smurf the other characters, Vivi has real problems compared to the others. Considering he's the only one on the list who is actually dead...
My second choice that is not on this list would be Marche from FFTAdvance.
