Did this thread a few years ago and figured it would be interesting to see how people's opinions have changed since then. So what current gaming franchise needs to just throw in the towel and be done?

Call of Duty, any sports game that comes out year after year. That's all I got.
I was thinking about this when you posted Wolf, and I think that at this very moment I'd choose Halo. Just played it a few days ago and all the fun I had in the past with it was gone. Maybe it just needs a quick kick/revamp, but it seems to have fallen behind other first person shooters. It felt slow and clunky.
At this point I feel like Resident Evil needs to be mercifully put to sleep.
And it seems like that's already the case since Capcom has been mainly focusing on remakes.
I honestly wouldn't kill any series, when I think about it. Any series that annoys the hell out of me may just be someone's favorite, feel good series, and I really wouldn't want to take that away
(I'm mostly self-motivated though as I know I love some series dearly that other people would rather see dead, so yeah, trying to build love for my own gain and stuff... :shifty:)
Shhh, shhhh. Don't spoil this beautiful moment with words.
Why kill a gaming franchise? If you don't like it, don't play it. You might not like it, but other people probably will. And besides, there's always the potential for a gaming franchise to get better: one of these days they might actually make another decent COD game.

Just...just leave me with the memories of PES3 and 4. Of Peter Brackley and Trevor Brooking. Of Master Leagues stretching into the dozens of seasons. Let's just finish it.
