Huh, people actually played Soul Blazer. Weird. I always feel like it is the forgotten part of the trilogy.
I remember Soul Blazer. It was fun. Chain of Memories gets my vote. I hate like the first bit, like the first 10 or so stages. But then you get into the new stuff. And Riku's story.
If you haven't played Soul Blazer, you owe it to yourself to do so.
What's hilarious is that it's the only entry from the trilogy that got nominated. Pretty much two franchises dominated the nominations, but I'll be surprised if either one of them actually makes it to the finals oddly enough. If I was just going by how many noms an entry got, the finals would be easy but I've also seen these type of events go into strange wild card status which is why I appreciate more obscure stuff getting in.
I'm gonna go with Soul Blazer. I haven't quite played either of them, but I did play some of a ROM of Soul Blazer back in the day, and it's decent. Chain of Memories seems to me like a cheesy portable version of the original that they tacked on some crazy story nonsense to justify as its own game.
Soul Blazer looks fun, while CoM was not fun.
Never even heard of Soul Blazer, whole CoM is easily my favorite KH game ever, so
I'm surprised, I honestly liked Soul Blazer the least of the trilogy (Terranigma being my favorite).
That said, I'd still pick it over Chain of Memories
I didn't even see there was nominations for this going on or I might have nominated illusion of Gaia. Though I also tend to forget it was made by enix so maybe I wouldn't have.
Soul Blazer
I don't like CoM (as an actual game, the plot of the game is a-okay). I haven't played Soul Blazer. Easiest choice!
Neither.
I'd definitely choose Illusion of Gaia over Soul Blazer or Terranigma, given the choice, because I actually owned Illusion of Gaia and played it through to completion. Also, the dialogue in that game was hilariously bad.
I own Illusion of Gaia, but have yet to play it or any other game in that series. On the other hand, Chain of Memories was extremely addicting when I was a kid, and I still think it’s pretty fun.
Soul Blazer, in a surprising upset advances to the next round.
