This should make some fans feel nostalgic.

I'm just mad we're not getting the artsy logo-on-plain-white-background cover art in Europe anymore. It was iconic.

Kinda bummed that this is the PAL box art as well, I always preferred the more minimalist covers we had in Europe which were just the logo on a white background.

But oh well, it's just box art.

But I don't buy games for the box arts. The disc inside is much more precious. Or should I say the discs inside are much more precious because two blu rays of Midgar. TWO.

So how many are going to be tricked into thinking it's a full game with the absence of "Part I" on the box?

If they just turn it over it should state that it's the first entry in a multi-part saga, just like it does under the details of the game on PSN.

Perhaps they'll do what they did with FFXV, which had a monochrome version on the back of the cover? Just reverse the cover insert for a classic look, albeit with a black background instead of the traditional white.

meh, swing and a miss for me. i never really enjoyed the "cloud vs shinra" thing, which was more complicated than the image implies.

having said that, i generally don't care about cover art.
