Random party challenge for FF1, any version. Go to https://random.org/dice/, select 4 dice to roll, and then make a party based on the following list (list number = number rolled):
- Fighter/Warrior
- Thief
- Black Belt/Monk
- Red Mage
- White Mage
- Black Mage
Post a reply with what you rolled, keep completion status updated, and the version of the game you played it in. If you rolled all 3's, bonus points for playing MSX.
This looks like a fun idea I may try some day.
I rolled for fun. It came up White Mage, two Thieves, and a Monk.
I don't think i'll revisit this game for quite a while, but it's interesting to speculate how that party would fare. I've beaten the game before but I can't remember if my party would be severely handicapped by a lack of an offensive magic caster or not.
On an NES version not at all. They're honestly more of a hindrance than a help. On a remake version, maybe not quite a hindrance, but not necessary either.
