Yasumi Matsuno teases a Vagrant Story project on Twitter

Oh Matsuno, why must you play with my heart like this? So he's working on a new scenario for FFXIV Shadowbringers, which is called Save the Queen. He mentioned on Twitter that the scenario was loosely based off an idea he had for a sequel to Vagrant Story and when a fan asked him for a sequel to that game, he remarked:

So now people are buzzing thinking he's teasing a new VS project of some kind. Course he could also just be stoking fires for the new Shadowbringers content instead, but this is the internet where we'll take any sign of hope and run with it.

I’d be happy with an HD port. The original story was very self contained imo so I wouldn’t really expect a sequel.

He is seriously trolling the fanbase...

Someone asked if the sequel would star Ashley Riot, and Matsuno decided to simply post the Prologue he wrote up for the game's intial proposal instead. It was then translated by a fan named Stefan B.K. aka hian with a mock up image. Here are the two posts from Twitter.

If they only remade the original (or at least release it on PSstore), I would buy it.

The original is on the PSN store for the PS3.

I recently bought a PS3 from a secondhand store. I have no controllers or other hookups for it.

I really liked Vagrant Story for Psx, hope for a remake!^^

Almost three years later and still nothing... :(

I still need to get properly into this franchise.
